Champions League Final at Puskas Arena!
Champions League final against Arsenal in Budapest
Sports Desk, May 6 (EFE).-
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured their place in the Champions League final on Wednesday after a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. The French side, the reigning champions, leveraged their advantage from the first leg (5-4) to close out the tie with a 6-5 aggregate score.

Unlike the offensive spectacle of the previous week, the second leg was defined by tactical control and defensive solidity from head coach Luis Enrique’s side. PSG will travel to Budapest on May 30, where they will face Arsenal at the Puskas Arena to defend their title.
An early goal that changed the script
PSG struck first just two minutes into the game. In a quick transition, the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia linked up with Fabián Ruiz, who played the ball back for the winger to assist Ousmane Dembélé. The French forward finished clinically to make it 0-1 and extend the aggregate lead.

This goal forced Bayern to chase three more goals to turn the tie around, but they were met by a highly organized PSG. The Germans, managed by Vincent Kompany, tried to respond through Michael Olise and Luis Díaz, but the Parisian defense, led by Marquinhos and goalkeeper Safonov, neutralized every attempt.
Controversy and resilience at the Allianz Arena
The match had moments of tension before halftime. Bayern vehemently appealed for a penalty for a handball by Joao Neves inside the box, but neither the head referee nor the VAR deemed it an infraction. Shortly after, Manuel Neuer prevented PSG’s second goal from a header by Neves himself.

In the second half, Bayern maintained the pressure but lacked the necessary penetration to break down the French defensive block. PSG, comfortable with the result, focused on protecting their area and looking for counter-attacks to seal the win.
Kane scores in the dying moments
The equalizing goal came in the 94th minute when Harry Kane finally beat Safonov after a desperate cross into the box. However, the goal came too late for the Bavarian side’s aspirations, as they were eliminated in front of their home crowd.

With this result, PSG confirms its dominance in Europe and enters the final against Arsenal as the heavy favorite. Luis Enrique’s team demonstrated in Munich that, besides their offensive firepower, they possess the defensive maturity required to handle high-pressure scenarios.
