Images are released of what Shakira’s “city” will look like for her residence in Madrid.
Madrid, July 24 (EFE)
A city inspired by magical realism, with eight pavilions dedicated to music, fashion, gastronomy, literature, art and film, children’s culture and Shakira’s artistic universe, this will be the complex structure that the Colombian singer will build in Madrid for the final residency of her current tour.
This Friday, his team offered more details at a press conference, where they previewed rendered images of what the Iberdrola Music venue will look like about two months before the first concert, on September 18, which will be followed by performances on September 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and October 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11.

It has been reported that a total of twelve concerts will be offered, as a final date has been added on October 9.
The message that Shakira wants to convey with this residence is that “Spain is Latin,” according to the president of Live Nation Spain, Pino Sagliocco, who highlighted that this is “the most beautiful project” he has ever worked on in terms of “a space for coexistence to make us all more empathetic.”
With a capacity for 50,000 people and a central meeting place called Macondo Plaza, it will be open from 12 noon until midnight, with the main concert by Shakira between 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Each pavilion will have “its own identity,” for example its color, and a different program and guests during the residency dates, all curated by Shakira “under the idea that the Latin Nation is not a geographical territory: it is a transnational community united by language, rhythm, creativity, resilience and joy.”
According to Sagliocco, they are discussing with public institutions the possibility that the days the space is closed, from Monday to Thursday, could be used for school excursions “so they can celebrate their belonging to this community”.

A “community” with a VIP area
In that “community” there will, however, be two exclusive spaces for the VIP area, Espacio Garden and Espacio Terrace, whose tickets will go on sale next Monday and which have been “designed to experience Shakira’s European residence from another level,” the official statement indicates.
“It’s a service that needs to be provided nowadays,” argued the president of Live Nation Spain, who stressed that in any case it will have “very affordable prices” (starting at 500 euros), “not like those of the Spain match in New York the other day” which cost thousands of dollars.

In response to criticism that Bad Bunny’s house generated in Spain regarding the division between a small elite and the rest of the public, the promoter wanted to clarify to EFE that in this case it is not a space like that, restricted only to the artist’s guests, and that more details will be offered on Monday.
For Sagliocco, in any case, the important thing is that this way of conceiving music, “beyond a concert”, will mark “a before and after” in this type of proposal and he has once again expressed his gratitude that the artist has chosen Madrid for it.

It’s a good time for Shakira, not only because of her relationship with Spain, where she is already called ‘the talisman of La Roja’ for the victories of the Spanish national football team in the World Cups to which the Colombian has provided the theme song, in the latter the song ‘Dai Dai’, which has become a global number 1.
Spain will also be the final stop on her ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’, which has become the highest-grossing Latin tour in history, with attendance records such as the Zócalo in Mexico City in March, with 400,000 attendees, or milestones such as her concert in Copacabana with more than 2 million people.
