Tommy Hilfiger transformed New York’s Plaza Hotel into a vibrant runway on Thursday, presenting his Spring/Summer collection, hosting a concert, and even taking Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s dog for a walk.
The designer, a champion of American style, made a triumphant return to Fashion Week with a show he described to the US media as an “experience,” choosing the entrance of the iconic building that was his home for a decade.
Dozens of models, led by supermodel Gigi Hadid and including the Beckhams’ middle son, Romeo, walked the runway among rows of sofas arranged around an elegant bar while an orchestra played pop and rock anthems.

The cable-knit sweater was the key piece, paired with shirts, pleated below-the-knee skirts for women, and tailored trousers for men. Among the coats, the varsity jacket stood out, emblematic of Hilfiger’s preppy style.
The designer’s event had generated considerable anticipation because the brand’s new ambassador is American football player Travis Kelce, recently married to pop star Taylor Swift, who posed in the campaign photos with the couple’s Samoyed.
However, today only the white-coated dog made an appearance when Hilfiger came out to say goodbye with him at the end of the show. The dog created a charming moment by running off, almost dragging the designer along, perhaps overwhelmed by the applause.

The scene was immortalized by all the attendees who were recording on their phones the surprise appearance of singer Slayyyter as the grand finale of the show, performing this summer’s catchy social media anthem: ‘Dance…’.
Last March, PVH, the company that owns the brand, announced that Kelce was its new global ambassador and “creative collaborator,” and hinted that he would be part of campaigns and events, and possibly also a joint clothing line.
Hilfiger doesn’t always present his collections at New York Fashion Week (NYFW), but when he has, he has chosen iconic locations in the city, such as the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Station or a vintage ferry that connects Manhattan and Staten Island.

The designer was a pioneer of the “see now, buy now” sales model, which launched items on the market after the runway show, but he seems to have returned to the traditional seasonal cycle, giving great importance to celebrities and influencers who wear his clothes at the event.
In front of the Plaza Hotel on Thursday, a crowd of photographers and onlookers swarmed, hoping to spot familiar faces, and they were there: singers Camila Cabello and Jisoo, actors Lukas Gage and Patrick Schwarzenegger, model Kate Moss, and basketball player Karl-Anthony Towns.

There was also Spanish representation, with actor Arón Piper, singer Bad Gyal, and fashion entrepreneur Bruno Casanovas.
The event was a major logistical operation, with a designated drop-off point for the hundreds of guests who clogged traffic along Fifth Avenue, delayed the start of the show by half an hour, and then stayed for a glass of champagne.
Tommy Hilfiger had a global revenue of approximately $9 billion in 2025, according to a statement from PVH (Phillips-Van Heusen), the conglomerate that acquired the brand in 2010.
