Los Angeles, US, Apr 20 (EFE).-
Singer D4vd was charged on Monday with murder and other offenses in connection with the death of Celeste Rivas Hernández, a 14-year-old Hispanic teenager whose body was found in an advanced state of decomposition in the trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd.

The 21-year-old faces aggravated charges for the homicide of Celeste Rivas Hernández. She was 13 years old when she was reported missing in Lake Elsinore, California, in 2024, and her body was found on Sep. 8, 2025.

At a press conference, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman detailed the charges against the artist, stating that they include “the most serious accusations that can be presented” in these types of cases, meaning first-degree murder with special circumstances.

These special circumstances include acting with premeditation, stalking, committing the crime for profit, or murdering a witness in the context of an investigation.
The artist, whose real name is David Burke, remains detained without bail, and his case will be presented to a judge on Monday.

D4vd was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on Apr. 16 at his West Hollywood home.
The case has generated significant public attention since human remains were found in September in a Tesla associated with the musician, which had been parked on a public street for weeks before it was towed to a municipal impound lot in Los Angeles without being reported stolen.

D4vd has collaborated with musicians such as Kali Uchis, Laufey, and 21 Savage, and several of the artist’s songs have entered the Billboard charts. EFE amv/dgp
