Madrid, Apr 14 (EFE).-
Kylian Mbappe says playing for Real Madrid is “like a gift from God,” as the France forward embraces life at the Spanish club following his arrival for the 2024-25 season.

In an interview with GQ, soccer star Mbappe said he was relishing the chance to compete at the highest level.

“For me, playing for Real Madrid is like a gift from God; having the opportunity to live from my passion, to play the biggest matches, to be at the best club in the world,” he said.
“I am always very grateful to be on the pitch, to wake up every morning and do what makes me happy.”

The 27-year-old added that stepping onto the field at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium feels like “being on the best ground in the world,” in a country he described as one of football’s elite.
Mbappe, who helped France win the 2018 FIFA World Cup, is already looking ahead to the 2026 tournament in North America.
“A World Cup is a special moment,” he said. “You win together, through consistency and the right mindset. We have ambition, but also the humility to know nothing is guaranteed.”

Despite a career filled with domestic titles at Paris Saint-Germain and international success with France, Mbappe cautioned against complacency.
“The hardest part is not getting to the top. It is staying there and continuing to improve,” he said.
He emphasized that modern football demands more than natural ability.
“Nowadays, talent alone is not enough,” Mbappe said. “What makes the difference is consistency (…) and everything around the game: teamwork, discipline and responsibility.” EFE
