Naked Cyclists!

About 500 cyclists – according to police figures – took part in the World Naked Bike Ride Berlin as they rode naked through the streets of the German capital on Sunday in a demonstration to promote nudism and its associated values.
The organizers, according to their website, conducted a review of the traditional motto of the nudist movement – “naked we are all equal” – and underlined that the aim is to accept diversity among bodies instead of seeking conformity with a norm.
The organizers considered that the cycling march should be understood as a statement in defense of “tolerance, self-acceptance, connection with nature and environmental protection, as well as inclusion and tolerance.”
“One of the central ideas of the naturist movement is that people be naked because in that way they dispense with masks and status symbols,” said one of the organizers.
Organized nudist movement has lost followers in Germany in recent decades. While in the 1990s the German Naturist Federation had 65,000 members, now it only has 34,000. EFE
