Notice is hereby given, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 13:1D-157 and N.J.A.C. 7:1C-4.2, to enhance community outreach and provide information to the public, along with the opportunity to ask questions or provide oral and/or written comments related to the Title V Operating Permit renewal.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, operates the College Avenue Campus in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The University intends to hold an in-person and virtual public information session as part of its Title V Operating Permit (PI No. 19085) renewal application process. The initial Title V Operating Permit was issued on December 9, 2014, and has been renewed every five years.
Upon NJDEP approval of the renewal, the permit will be renewed for an additional five (5) years. As part of the renewal, an Environmental Justice Impact Statement (EJIS) has been prepared to analyze the impact of the operations related to the permit application on the surrounding community. The analysis in the EJIS indicates that the renewal would not change or contribute to the existing adverse environmental and public health stressors in the surrounding community. A copy of the EJIS document will be available on the NJDEP Environmental Justice website at https://dep.nj.gov/ej/meetings/#middlesex.
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:1C-4.2, a public information session will be held in person at College Avenue Student Center at 126 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1166 and virtually via Zoom on [08/11/2026] from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. To attend the meeting in person, please register by emailing airpermit@rutgers.edu. In addition, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will accept public comments on the Title V Operating Permit renewal for a sixty-day period starting [07/12/26] and concluding on [09/10/2026].
