K-pop sensation BTS on Netflix!

K-pop sensation BTS’ first concert after their extended hiatus will be streamed live globally on Netflix this month, ahead of the release of a documentary about their comeback, the platform announced Tuesday.
“For the first time in three years (and nine months, but who’s counting?), the septet is making their highly anticipated return to the stage to perform live globally on Netflix, included in all plans,” the platform announced on its news website, Tudum.
The concert will take place on Mar. 21, a day after the highly anticipated release of BTS’ new album “Arirang” in Seoul’s iconic Gwanghwamun Square, in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The choice of a historic location for the group’s first concert as a full lineup aligns with the album’s title, a reference to South Korea’s most representative folk song, considered a symbol of national identity and unity.
During the show, BTS will perform songs from their new album, their first since ‘Proof’ (2022), according to Netflix.
The concert will serve as a prelude to their world tour, the biggest in K-pop history, which kicks off on Apr. 9 in the South Korean city of Goyang.
Netflix also announced the premiere, on Mar. 27, of the documentary ‘BTS: THE RETURN,’ which focuses on the group’s comeback.
The film will explore the creative process behind the new album and the reunion of the seven members after completing their mandatory military service, a period that prompted a hiatus in their joint activities. EFE
