43 Chinese companies banned by US!
Chinese use force labor!

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Friday the addition of 43 Chinese companies to the list of sanctioned entities under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA), under which firms that allegedly use forced labor – especially China’s Xinjiang region – and banned from exporting products to the US.
With this inclusion, which takes effect on Aug.3, the list will include 187 entities, a 30 percent increase and the largest increase since the mechanism was enacted in December 2021.
According to the DHS, the incorporated companies operate in sectors such as aluminum, apparel, copper, cotton, and tomato processing, and are alleged to have sourced materials from Xinjiang or participated in programs transferring and hiring Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other persecuted groups.
Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin said that the Donald Trump administration will prevent products from these companies from entering the US market to prevent the country’s workers from competing using goods made with slave labor.
The DHS also noted that, since the UFLPA entered into force in June 2022, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has blocked more than 24,300 shipments valued at nearly $1 billion.
The decision is part of the Donald Trump Administration’s trade strategy to keep its global tariffs in effect with a new legal mechanism based on forced labor.
A week ago, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) imposed additional tariffs of 10 percent on products from 14 economies and 12.5 percent on goods from another 46, considering that the concerned countries were not doing enough to prevent goods made with forced labor from entering their markets.
