Washington’s Commemorative Arch!
Washington, Feb 4 (EFE).-
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his administration plans to build a commemorative arch in the nation’s capital that would be larger than the famed Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Speaking to NBC News, Trump said the structure would stand about 250 feet tall, making it significantly higher than its Paris counterpart, which rises to about 164 feet.

According to the president, the goal is for Washington to have its own monument reflecting “the power and the history” of the United States, Trump said in the interview.

The project would be tied to celebrations marking the country’s founding anniversary in 2026 and is part of a broader set of White House initiatives aimed at highlighting what the administration describes as the nation’s patriotic legacy.
The proposed arch would be located near the Arlington Memorial Bridge, along the boundary between Washington, D.C., and Virginia, at a site that visually links Arlington National Cemetery with the Lincoln Memorial.
The White House considers the area to be the most appropriate setting for a national commemorative landmark, officials said. EFE
