Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford will miss Thursday’s Copa del Rey first leg against Atlético Madrid due to discomfort in his left knee, the Catalan club announced Wednesday.
The Blaugrana confirmed that the injury stems from a knock he received during last Saturday’s LaLiga EA Sports match against Mallorca, in which the England international played 67 minutes before being substituted by Ferran Torres.

Rashford, whose expected recovery time has not been specified by Barcelona, had not trained normally all week and did not participate in Wednesday’s final session before the match against Atlético Madrid.
Coach Hansi Flick will also be without the injured Pedro González ‘Pedri’, Pablo Páez Gavira ‘Gavi’, Andreas Christensen, and Raphael Dias ‘Raphinha’.
