Taylor Swift released her new video, “Opalite,” this Friday, featuring a host of famous faces: Domhnall Gleeson, Cillian Murphy, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Greta Lee, who star alongside the singer in a story with an 80s aesthetic.
The video was released exclusively on Spotify Premium and Apple Music, meaning fans who aren’t subscribers to these platforms will have to wait until Sunday to see it on YouTube, according to a statement from Universal Music Spain.

This decision by the singer comes after Billboard magazine announced that it would give more weight to streaming and viewing data from paid platforms compared to ad-supported platforms like YouTube when compiling its charts.
As a result, YouTube decided to stop providing its music data to Billboard and is demanding “that every play be counted fairly and equitably, whether by subscription or ad, because every fan matters and every play should count.”

For now, Spotify Premium and Apple Music subscribers can enjoy the video for a track from Swift’s album ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ released in October 2015, which already includes the video for ‘The Fate of Ophelia.’
The ‘Opalite’ video begins as a television commercial for a cleaning product of the same name, which a teenage Taylor Swift is watching in her bedroom.

Gleeson plays Swift’s love interest; Lee portrays an MTV singer; Turner-Smith plays an aerobics instructor; Lewis Capaldi is the photographer who captures the lovebirds; Cillian Murphy is the face of ‘Opalite’; Kameron Saunders is a judge on a dance competition; and Graham Norton is the person promoting the cleaner in a shopping mall. The
video boasts a fun, glittery, and colorful aesthetic with constant nods to 1980s American society, and features a dance routine by Gleeson and Swift that is as ridiculous as it is eye-catching.
