“Epstein Rich and Powerful Men”
Washington, Feb 10 (EFE).-
United States congresspeople stressed on Tuesday their concern about the six “rich and powerful men” whose names have been omitted from the public files about sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and whose identities legislators learned this week.

Thomas Massie, a Republican congressman from Kentucky and one of the most vocal lawmakers in the Epstein case, announced on social media that the Department of Justice has begun to grant his requests to publicly reveal the identities of six individuals.
As of Monday, he and other members of Congress gained access to all the uncensored case documents for the first time.

Massie and Ro Khanna, a Democratic congressman from California, demanded that Pam Bondi’s Department reveal the names of the six men.
On Tuesday, Senator Cynthia Lummis, a Republican from Wyoming, said that her view of the case’s severity changed after reviewing the uncensored files.

“Well, initially, my reaction to all this was, ‘I don’t care. I don’t know what the big deal is.’ But now I see what the big deal is, and it was worth investigating,” said Lummis, who referenced nine-year-old victims in the plot hatched by the financier.
Representative Jamie Raskin, a Democrat from Maryland, told Axios, a digital media outlet, that when he searched for Donald Trump’s name in the Epstein files, it appeared “more than a million times.”

The Trump administration has faced mounting pressure over the Epstein case, particularly after Congress passed a law in late 2025 requiring the Department of Justice to release all previously censored documents related to the investigation, which the New York magnate said did not support.

The publication of the last batch of documents a few days ago, as well as legislators’ ability to access uncensored versions of all materials related to the Epstein investigation since Monday, has once again brought the case into the media spotlight.
On Tuesday, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick admitted to visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s private island with his family in 2012, which contradicts his previous statements about his relationship with Epstein, who authorities say committed suicide in his cell in 2019. EFE
