Clintons to testify in Congress about Epstein file!
Washington, Feb 2 (EFE).-
Former US president Bill Clinton and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton will testify before the House of Representatives in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, their spokesperson said Monday.

The couple’s spokesman Angel Ureña on X responded to a letter from the House Oversight Committee, which accused the Clintons of “defying lawful subpoenas” and “trying to dodge contempt by requesting special treatment.”
Ureña said that the couple had “negotiated in good faith” and that the senators “did not.”

“They told you under oath what they know, but you don’t care,” he wrote. “The former President and former Secretary of State will be there. They look forward to setting a precedent that applies to everyone.”
The summons for the Clintons to testify is part of a broader investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s network and the possible connections of public figures to his crimes.

Although neither has been charged with wrongdoing, lawmakers are seeking to clarify any links and communications that may have existed during the years Epstein operated in high-profile political and financial circles.
Last week, the Justice Department released more than 3 million pages of documents, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images related to the investigation.

Lawmakers and victims criticized the process for delays, flawed drafting, and the exposure of survivors’ names, including dozens of minors, which led to the temporary removal of thousands of files while sensitive data protection procedures are reviewed.
US President Donald Trump said this Monday at the White House that he believed the Justice Department should drop the Epstein case and again denied any involvement with the magnate Epstein. EFE
