Moscow, Sep 11 (EFE).-
A 40-year-old woman has been arrested in Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East for stealing and eating 223 chocolate bars from a store, the country’s Interior Ministry said Thursday.

According to the official statement, the woman’s actions caused a loss of 30,000 rubles ($350) to the establishment.
The woman confessed that she had committed the theft for her own consumption, and now faces a punishment of up to two years in prison.
A few days ago, two Russian teenagers aged 15 and 16 were reprimanded in the Siberian town of Prokopievsk for stealing 77 ice creams from a street stall.

The two girls concerned, who were taking a night walk in a park, opened a refrigerator covered by a protective cover and took 77 ice creams that they consumed, the police said.
After the identification of the offenders, their data was registered with the Police and their parents will have to answer to Justice for alleged “failure to comply with their educational obligations.” EFE
