Atletico Madrid lost to Las Palmas at the Estadio de Gran Canaria on matchday 32 of LaLiga EA Sports after a goal scored by Javi Muñoz in stoppage time on Saturday.

Atletico only had clear chances in the final stretch of the first half, both of which were thwarted by two great saves by the hosts’ goalkeeper Dinko Horkas.

Simeone’s team started well, taking charge of the game against an opponent that weathered the storm of the first minutes to try to take the game to their field.

However, as the game progressed, Atletico began to get bogged down even as Las Palmas grew in confidence with the ball.

The second half began without a clear dominator, and a brilliant defensive action by Álex Suárez to intercept a ball that Gallagher was aiming to reach.

Las Palmas lost their best player, Fábio Silva, to injury, and began to suffer from accumulated fatigue, until Jaime Mata fought for a high ball, which was nudged into the net by Javi Muñoz to seal Las Palmas’ first home victory of the year. EFE rg/pd
