‘Imagine Dragons’ step into gaming world!

Members of the globally recognized rock band ‘Imagine Dragons’ are stepping beyond the music stage and into the gaming world.
Lead vocalist Dan Reynolds and his brother, band manager Mac Reynolds, are launching “Last Flag,” a fast-paced multiplayer capture-the-flag game developed by their independent studio, Night Street Games.
In 2020, the Reynolds brothers launched their independent video game development studio, Night Street Games.
Now, their debut title has arrived: a vibrant third-person online multiplayer action game in which two teams compete to locate and capture the rival team’s flag.
‘Last Flag.’ set for release on Apr.14 on Steam and Epic Games, with a playable demo already available, features a colorful cartoon aesthetic, fast-paced gameplay, and visual inspiration drawn from 1970s American television game shows.
The game is also inspired by the brothers’ childhood adventures, reflecting the exploration and excitement they experienced while playing capture the flag, a classic team-based strategy game in which players cross into enemy territory, steal the opposing team’s flag, and return safely without being caught.
A Soundtrack to Match
“Working on ‘Last Flag’ has been a dream for all of us. It’s not often you get the chance to create a game exactly the way you want,” said Mac Reynolds, co-founder of the project, in a press release.
In ‘Last Flag,’ players can choose from nine characters and compete in 5-versus-5 matches lasting up to 20 minutes.
Using weapons and special abilities, teams battle across chaotic maps where hiding the flag strategically is key to victory.
The game avoids traditional deaths, instead temporarily eliminating players from play.
Music also plays a central role.
Dan Reynolds, the voice behind Imagine Dragons hits such as “Radioactive” and “Demons,” collaborated with musician JT Daly and composer Dave Lowmiller to create a soundtrack with classical influences, recorded using original 1970s instruments to enhance authenticity.
Initially, the game will launch only on PC, but the developers hope to release console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox later this year.
“This is just the beginning. There will be new maps, new contestants, and some unexpected twists by the end of this year. We can’t wait to share it all,” Mac Reynolds said. EFE
