Bogota, Feb 25 (EFE).-
The Champions League had a night of high drama as Atalanta clinched a stunning, last-gasp victory 4-1 over Borussia Dortmund to secure their place in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

Lazar Samardzic converted a penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time (90+8 minutes), following a crucial VAR review, to give the Italian side a dramatic 4-3 aggregate win.
This latest regulation goal in the knockout stage sends Atalanta through and ensures Italian representation in the next round.

Meanwhile, at Bernabeu Stadium, Real Madrid advanced comfortably past Benfica with a 2-1 victory (3-1 on aggregate).
In the first half of the match, Benfica’s Rafa Silva scored in the 14th minute to open the scoring. Right after that, Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni tied the game by scoring his first Champions League goal in the 16th minute.
Vinícius Júnior once again provided the decisive moment, scoring in the 80th minute despite the match being played under the cloud of the racial comment he received in the first leg.

In Parc des Princes Stadium, defending champions Paris Saint-Germain overcame a stern challenge from AS Monaco, drawing 2-2 but advancing 5-4 on aggregate.
A crucial red card for Monaco’s Mamadou Coulibaly just before the hour mark shifted the momentum, allowing PSG captain Marquinhos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the minute 66, to score and set up a blockbuster Round of 16 clash with either Chelsea or Barcelona, pending Friday’s draw.

Monaco opened the scoring with a goal from Maghnes Akliouche in the 45th minute, followed by PSG’s Marcos Aoas Correa’s 60th-minute goal.
Maghnes Akliouche gave Monaco a brief moment of enthusiasm with a 45th-minute goal; however, Jordan Teze sealed the tie with a 90+1-minute goal. EFE
