Grammy Awards 2026!
Los Angeles, US, Nov 7 (EFE).-
United States rapper Kendrick Lamar led the nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards on Friday with nine nods, followed by Lady Gaga, Cirkut, and Jack Antonoff with seven each, while Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny achieved a new milestone in his career with six nominations.

Lamar’s latest album, “GNX,” earned him nominations in major categories including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. He is also shortlisted for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Melodic Rap Performance.
The nominations come after Lamar’s dominant performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where he won five awards with just one track, “Not Like Us,” cementing his status as one of the defining voices in contemporary hip-hop.

Lady Gaga returns to the spotlight

Lady Gaga secured seven nominations for her album “Mayhem,” which marks a return to her darker pop roots. She is up for Album of the Year, as well as Record of the Year and Song of the Year with “Abracadabra.”

Though Gaga has already won 14 Grammy Awards, she has yet to win in one of the “Big Four” categories.
This year (2025) could change that, as the Recording Academy recognized both her vocal performance and the production work behind the album.

Producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff also earned seven nominations each for their work on albums including Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” and Gaga’s “Abracadabra.”

Bad Bunny expands his legacy
Bad Bunny’s six nominations include Record of the Year for “DTMF” and Album of the Year for “DeBí TiRAR MáS FOTos,” which becomes only the second Spanish-language album nominated in that category.
The Puerto Rican artist, who currently holds three Grammy Awards, could further expand his influence in mainstream US music.
He is also competing in Latin categories, where “DeBí TiRAR MáS FOTos” is nominated for Best Música Urbana Album, alongside J Balvin, Feid, Nicki Nicole, Trueno, and Yandel.

Sabrina Carpenter also earned six nominations, including Album of the Year for “Man’s Best Friend” and Song of the Year for “Manchild.”
The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Feb. 1, 2026. EFE
