Liverpool kept their Champions League hopes alive with a deserved 2-0 win over reigning champions Real Madrid at Anfield.
Second-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo confirmed the Reds’ supremacy as Real’s hopes faded after two missed penalties from Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa and Juventus played out a bitter draw at Villa Park.
