Barcelona keeps hope for Top 8 spot!

Barcelona, Dic 9 (EFE).- ​

Barcelona secured a tough 2-1 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt at Camp Nou on Tuesday night, keeping its hopes alive for a Top 8 spot in the league phase.

Ansgar Knauff scored for the German team in the 21st minute after receiving a pass from Nathaniel Brown.

Early in the second half, ​Rashford delivered an accurate cross toward the penalty spot, and a defender redirected the ball with a header past the German goalkeeper to tie the score at 1-1.

Just three minutes later, Koundé sealed the comeback. This time, he headed it in to secure the 2-1 victory.

​Atlético Madrid also won, securing a 3-2 comeback victory against PSV Eindhoven, leaving them in seventh place in the Champions League standings.

​Julian Álvarez, David Hancko, and Alexander Sørloth scored for Atlético, capitalizing on defensive errors by the Dutch side after PSV initially took the lead with a goal from Guus Til.

​Liverpool narrowly beat Inter Milan in the Champions League with Dominik Szoboszlai’s penalty kick into the top corner following a controversial VAR decision that awarded a foul on Florian Wirtz inside the box.

​Liverpool had believed they had taken the lead when Ibrahima Konate headed in a goal after 30 minutes, but it was disallowed due to a handball.

Additionally, Monaco beat Galatasaray 1-0, Union Saint-Gilloise lost 3-2 to Marseille, and Tottenham won 3-0 over Slavia Prague. EFE
