Spain and UK to demolish Gibraltar’s border fence!

Spain and the United Kingdom plan to demolish the border fence in Gibraltar next January, under timelines being discussed following the agreement reached in June with the European Union.
According to Spanish daily El PaÃs, confirmed to EFE by sources close to the talks, the final text of the deal is expected in October and could be ratified by December.
The accord, which settles Gibraltar’s post-Brexit status, scraps the fence and removes checks on people and goods.
The move will ease daily crossings for some 15,000 workers who commute between Spain and Gibraltar and benefit about 300,000 residents in the surrounding area. EFE
