Shakira breaks Guinness World Record!
Miami, Jan 29 (EFE).-
Colombian singer Shakira has broken the Guinness World Record for the most successful Latin music tour after grossing $421.6 million with her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” World Tour, dethroning Mexican star Luis Miguel, Billboard reported on Thursday.

The Barranquilla-born artist sold 3.3 million tickets across 86 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore data, surpassing the Luis Miguel Tour 23–24, which sold 2.9 million tickets and generated $409.5 million in revenue.

Shakira effectively secured the record during her Dec. 11 concert at Buenos Aires’ Vélez Sarsfield Stadium, when tour revenues had already reached $410.3 million, the report noted.
The Colombian singer also outpaced Bad Bunny’s 2022 tour, which grossed $314.1 million from 1.9 million tickets, as well as Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito tour, which earned $313.3 million from 2.3 million tickets between 2023 and 2024.

Recognised by Billboard as the greatest Latin pop artist of all time, Shakira is currently on a tour spanning nearly 100 concerts. The world tour is set to conclude on April 4 with a performance in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, following its final Latin American show in Mexico City on Feb. 27.

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is the most successful of Shakira’s career. Over the course of her touring history, she has sold 4.9 million tickets across 206 shows, generating total revenues of $529.7 million, according to Billboard. EFE
