Putin Trump Pow Wow!
Moscow, Aug 7 (EFE).-
The presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, respectively, will meet in the coming days, the Kremlin adviser for international policy, Yuri Ushakov, announced on Thursday.

“We have launched work to discuss the parameters of such a meeting and the venue for it jointly with our American colleagues now,” Ushakov said, according to the state-owned TASS news agency.
“By the way, I’d like to note that the venue (for the meeting), too, has been agreed in principle and will be announced a bit later,” he added.
He stressed that the proposal to hold a summit between Putin and Trump is from the White House, whose special envoy, Steve Witkoff, met with the Russian leader in the Kremlin on Wednesday.

Trump, who has held six phone conversations with Putin since the beginning of the year, said the previous day that there was a strong possibility of the meeting taking place very soon.
Putin has not met with an American leader since the June 2021 summit with Joe Biden in Geneva, while he last met Trump face to face was in June 2019 in Helsinki. EFE mos/sc
