Mikie meets Mexican Chamber of Commerce!
Lays Out Plan To Support Latino-Owned Businesses and Expand Economic Partnerships With Latin America
PASSAIC —
Mikie Sherrill met wih the Mexican Chamber of Commerce to discuss her plan to support Latino-owned businesses, strengthen economic relationships between New Jersey and Latin America, and protect our state from Trump’s chaotic tariff regime, which is one of the largest tax hikes on Americans in history. The Chamber has helped grow minority-owned businesses across the state, providing critical resources and support to over 150,000 Latino-owned businesses in New Jersey. Like the Chamber, Mikie knows that Latino-owned businesses are essential to New Jersey’s economy, helping to create good-paying jobs, boost our innovation economy, and support our communities. That is why Mikie is committed to including the Mexican-American community in her administration and helping minority-owned businesses grow and thrive, by expanding access to state contracts, reducing the permitting delays and fees that businesses face, and boosting support and investment from the NJ Economic Development Authority.

“Small businesses are the backbone of New Jersey’s economy. At a time when Trump is raising costs for businesses with his unaffordable tariffs, New Jersey needs a governor who will make it easier to start and grow your business here, and expand economic opportunities for our state. As governor, I will bring accountability and transparency to Trenton, cut through red tape that is making it hard to do business here, and expand our trade partnerships throughout Latin America. I come from the United States Navy — when we’re given a mission, we get it done. I’ll bring that same ‘get to yes’ mindset to Trenton, to ensure that our state government is lowering costs and working for New Jerseyans,” said Mikie Sherrill.

“We are honored by Mikie Sherrill’s willingness to hold a meeting with our Board of Trustees and founding members, during which we presented the work agenda we consider strategic for the office of the next government of New Jersey. We appreciate the candidate’s openness to work jointly on an agenda that strengthens both the state government and our community,” said Francisco J Del Toro, President and CEO of the American Mexican Regional Chamber of Commerce.
