Kim Kardashian takes a stand on immigration!

Kim Kardashian spoke out against US President Donald Trump’s immigration policies during a tribute to her criminal justice activism at the Diane von Furstenberg DVF Awards held in Venice, reported the specialized media Variety. The
American businesswoman and influencer was asked by the press on Thursday about her opinion regarding the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids being carried out under the current administration, shortly before receiving the award.
“On the news you hear, ‘Oh, these are people who have committed these crimes,'” Kardashian said. “But then you hear about all the people who have worked so hard to build our country, and so many others who are a fundamental part of it and who are being affected,” she added.
“It’s very difficult, but I think we have to do everything we can to protect the people who have truly supported and built our country,” said the most popular member of the Kardashian clan.
The reality star was recognized for her ongoing work in support of criminal justice reform.
Kardashian accepted the award from Chris Young, a man she helped free from a life sentence without parole for a minor drug offense. This
isn’t the first time the businesswoman has spoken out against the immigration policies that have tightened in the United States since the start of Trump’s second term.
In June, when raids intensified in California, Kardashian called them “inhumane,” defended immigrants’ contributions to society, and urged people not to “ignore” injustices.
