The Puerto Rican Football Federation (FPF) announced this Monday that it has signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee (now DY) and the multinational corporation to continue developing the sport in Puerto Rico.
The agreement will be valid for the 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028 seasons, FPF President Iván Rivera said in a statement.
The agreement seeks to generate a real impact through joint activities, direct support for national teams, and the promotion of shared values between the Federation, the business sector, and the sports community, Rivera explained.

“This agreement reflects a shared vision: to promote the growth of Puerto Rican football from the grassroots to our senior national teams, with the support of companies and figures who believe in the transformative power of sport,” the federation leader emphasized.
He also indicated that the incorporation of DY and Multinational into this initiative symbolizes a unique synergy, combining business strength with cultural and sporting projection, opening new opportunities for Puerto Rican soccer at the local and international levels.

With this agreement, the FPF also reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive development of soccer in Puerto Rico, strengthening its structure and expanding growth opportunities for athletes, clubs, and national teams, the sports organization emphasized.
Furthermore, DY, Multinational, and the FPF will kick off various joint activities encompassed by this agreement before, during, and after the match between the Puerto Rican men’s national teams and world champion Argentina on October 13 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
