Champions League Update!
Bogotá, Jan 21.-
Spanish teams performed well on Wednesday’s Champions League matches, Athletic Bilbao defeated Atalanta 3-2, Barcelona beat Slavia Prague 4-2, and Atlético Madrid tied with Galatasaray 1-1.

The victory over Atalanta renewed the Basque team’s hope of advancing to the playoff qualification round.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid is in a tighter spot, needing to beat Bodo/Glimt at home next week to finish in the top eight.
After a scare, Barcelona’s hopes of automatic qualification were boosted by a hard-fought 4-2 win over Slavia Prague.

The Spanish champions conceded an early goal and were tied 2-2 before halftime on a freezing night in the Czech capital, but they recovered with second-half goals from Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski.
In other matches, Copenhagen drew Napoli 1-1, Qarabağ beat Frankfurt 3-0, Liverpool thrashed Marseille 3-0, Newcastle beat PSV 3-0, Juventus beat Benfica 2-0, Chelsea won 1-0 over Paphos, and Bayern won 2-0 over Union Saint-Gilloise. EFE
