The 2026 Billboard Latin Women in Music ceremony will bring together the most prominent Hispanic stars this Thursday in Miami, in a gala that will crown Rosalía as ‘Woman of the Year,’ in addition to honoring the careers of artists such as Gloria Trevi, Ivy Queen, and Julieta Venegas.

The event, which will be broadcast on Telemundo, will also recognize Mexican-American Becky G with the ‘Global Impact’ award, Mexican Gloria Trevi with the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award, and Puerto Rican Ivy Queen with the ‘Pioneer’ award.
Likewise, Mexican Joy, of the duo Jesse & Joy, will receive the ‘Spirit of Change’ award, fellow Mexican Julieta Venegas the ‘Artistic Excellence’ award, Spanish Lola Índigo the ‘Evolution’ award, and Puerto Rican Young Miko the ‘Unstoppable Artist’ award.

Meanwhile, singer and businesswoman Chiquis, a three-time Latin Grammy winner and icon of regional Mexican music, will host the two-hour special, airing Thursday on Telemundo and the Peacock app starting at 9:00 p.m. ET (1:00 a.m. GMT Friday).
Organizers promise “electrifying performances, tributes, and unforgettable moments” with artists such as Natalia Lafourcade, Natti Natasha, David Bisbal, Villano Antillano, Carlota Vizmanos, Jessica Carrillo, and Justina Machado.

An hour earlier, a pink carpet will be shown to highlight female talent, which has been crucial to the rise of Spanish-language music in the United States and internationally.
The celebration aims to highlight the role of women amidst the record growth of Latin music, which in the United States reached a new peak in 2025, with $1 billion in annual wholesale revenue, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on April 9.

This achievement, marking the tenth consecutive year of growth and outperforming the overall recorded music market, positions Latin songs as the source of 8.8% of total U.S. music industry revenue.
Billboard will recognize female executives in the sector at the ‘Women in Music’ gala on April 29 in Los Angeles, where Elizabeth Matthews, president of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), heads the list of honorees, which also includes Sandra García-Sanjuán, president of Starlite Music Group.
