Barcelona and Manchester City lose as Dortmund advances in Champions League!

Bogotá, Nov 25 (EFE).-

Villarreal suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, putting their chances of advancing to the next round of the Champions League in jeopardy.

The match was decided in the final minutes of the first and second halves.

Serhou Guirassy scored two goals (in the 45+2′ and 54′), Juan Foyth was ejected, and Karim Adeyemi (in the 58′) and Daniel Svensson (90+5′) conceded two more goals.

Meanwhile, Barcelona floundered in London, falling 3-0 to Chelsea and complicating their chances of qualifying. Hansi Flick’s team had a terrible night at Stamford Bridge, with an own goal from Jules Koundé (27′) and Ronald Araújo’s ejection. Chelsea was clearly superior with goals from Estêvão Willian (55′), and Liam Delap (73′).

Finally, Bayer Leverkusen conquered the Etihad Stadium, beating Manchester City 2-0 with goals from Alejandro Grimaldo (23′) and Patrik Schick (54′). This victory brought them closer to qualifying and left City at risk of falling out of the provisional “top eight.” EFE
