UEFA Champions League quarter-finals!

Real Madrid, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and Sporting Lisboa all secured their spots in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday with comfortable victories.

Real Madrid eliminated Manchester City from the UEFA Champions League on Thursday with a 2-1 victory, winning 4-1 on aggregate.

​Manchester City started strong, but disaster struck after 20 minutes when Bernardo Silva was sent off for a handball.

​Real Madrid were awarded a penalty following a VAR review, which Vinicius confidently converted.

​Despite being down a man, City responded when Erling Haaland scored just before halftime.

However, Vinicius scored a second goal in stoppage time to secure Madrid’s victory.

​Sporting CP thrashed Bodo/Glimt with a 5-0 win, turning a 3-0 loss into a 5-3 aggregate and reaching the quarterfinals for the first time since the 1982-83 season.

​Defender Gonçalo Inácio kick-started the comeback in the 34th minute when he headed in a corner kick.

​Luis Suárez set up Pedro Gonçalves to score, and then tied the game with a penalty kick.

​Sporting won when Maximiliano Araújo scored two minutes into extra time, and Rafael Nel added a fifth goal in added time.

Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice helped Arsenal comfortably beat 2-0Bayer Leverkusen as the Gunners secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered their joint-heaviest defeat in a two-legged European tie, losing 8-2 on aggregate and 3-0 on Tuesday to European champions Paris Saint-Germain. EFE
