Trump dismisses protests!
Washington, Oct 19 (EFE).-
President Donald Trump on Sunday dismissed the massive “No Kings” protests that drew millions across the United States a day earlier, calling them a “joke” and claiming they were “very small and not effective at all.”

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on his return to Washington, Trump said the demonstrators “don’t represent our country.”

“I’ve seen all those fancy signs — they’re paid for by [George] Soros and the lunatics of the radical left,” Trump said. “The protests were very small, totally ineffective, and people looked miserable. You see them — they don’t represent our country.”
“I’m not a king,” he added. “I bust my ass to make this country great. I’m not a king in any way.”

According to organizers, nearly seven million people joined the protests across more than 2,500 cities and towns in all 50 states, making them one of the largest demonstrations since Trump returned to power in January.
The rallies, held under the slogan “No Kings,” were the second of their kind after the first on Jun. 14, which coincided with Trump’s birthday.
The latest wave of demonstrations took place amid escalating political tensions following the president’s decision to deploy military forces to several Democrat-led cities, citing the need to combat crime and support immigration enforcement.

Despite fears of unrest voiced by Republican leaders ahead of the protests, no major violent incidents were reported nationwide.

Over the weekend, Trump shared several AI-generated videos on Truth Social mocking the protests. In one clip, he appears wearing a crown while piloting a fighter jet labeled “King Trump” and dropping what seem to be excrement on protesters below.

The “No Kings” movement refers to the perception that Trump has adopted authoritarian tendencies and echoes the founding ideals of the United States in 1776, when the country rejected the rule of an absolute monarch. EFE
