Sports Desk, Feb 8 (EFE).-

The Seattle Seahawks on Sunday expanded to seven the number of teams that have won the Super Bowl twice.

Seattle’s 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX put the Seahawks alongside the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as franchises with two Lombardi Trophies in the Super Bowl era, which began in 1967.

It was Seattle’s fourth appearance in the NFL title game. The Seahawks previously won Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos and lost Super Bowl XL to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Super Bowl XLIX to the Patriots, whom they defeated Sunday for redemption.

With the loss, New England missed the chance to become the sole franchise with the most Super Bowl titles. The Patriots remain at six championships, tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Lombardi Trophies.

Next are the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys, tied with five titles each.

They are followed by the Kansas City Chiefs — the league’s most recent dynasty — along with the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants, each with four championships.

The Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders have each won three Super Bowls.

Teams with one Lombardi Trophy are the Chicago Bears, New York Jets and New Orleans Saints.

Two teams share the unenviable record of four Super Bowl losses without a win: the Buffalo Bills, who lost four straight appearances, and the Minnesota Vikings.

The Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars are the four franchises among the NFL’s 32 teams that have never appeared in a Super Bowl. EFE
