Shakira revives her hit songs to mark anniversaries of her two ‘most iconic’ albums
International Desk, (EFE).
Shakira will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pies Descalzos and the 20th of Oral Fixation with Spotify, releasing new versions of some of her most beloved songs from the two albums.
Starting Wednesday, fans can listen to reimagined editions of classics such as Antología, Día de Enero, and Hips Don’t Lie, in a brand-new version featuring Ed Sheeran and Beéle, Shakira’s publicity agency in Spain said in a statement.

As part of the new edition, named “Spotify Anniversary,” the Colombian superstar will not only revisit songs from her two “most iconic” albums but also share previously untold stories about their creation and reflect on their lasting impact on her career.
The Barranquilla-born artist is revisiting the albums that defined her global trajectory. Released in 1995, Pies Descalzos introduced her poetic songwriting and Latin sound to international audiences, while 2005’s Oral Fixation marked her crossover success and cemented her status as a global phenomenon.

According to her agency, Shakira is commemorating two albums that continue to captivate listeners across generations. More than half of Oral Fixation streams come from listeners under 30, while 50% of Pies Descalzos streams are from listeners aged 30 to 44.
Together, the two albums have surpassed 6.1 billion streams worldwide, resonating especially strongly in Mexico, which leads all countries, including Shakira’s native Colombia, in total plays.
