Giménez secures last-minute win for Atlético

Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid delivered an outstanding performance at the Karaiskakis Stadium on Wednesday in the Champions League, scoring four goals against Olympiacos, who came close with three (4-3).

Olympiacos player Francisco Leonel Lima Silva Machado opened the scoring in the eighth minute, then Mbappé scored in the 22nd minute. He followed with a second goal in the 24th minute and completed a hat trick in the 29th minute, bringing the first-half score to 3-1.
In the second half, Mehdi Taremi scored for Olympiacos at minute 52; however, Mbappé showed up again at minute 60 to make it 4-2.

Olympiacos scored at minute 81 thanks to Ayoub El Kaabi, making it 3-4.
Meanwhile, a goal from the Uruguayan José María Giménez in the 93rd minute gave Atlético de Madrid victory against Inter Milan (2-1) in a match corresponding to the fifth round of the first phase of the Champions League, played at the Metropolitano stadium.

A goal from the Argentine Julián Alvarez gave Atlético the lead in the 11th minute, and Zielinski equalized at one in the 53rd minute, after a wall pass with Bonny. In the 93rd minute, Giménez headed a corner kick taken by Griezmann into the net. Atlético has 9 points, and Inter has 12.
Arsenal debuted 13-year-old Luiz Muñoz in the Youth League on Wednesday.

Muñoz, an England U15 international, became the youngest player in the competition in Arsenal’s 4-2 victory against Bayern Munich.
Luiz Muñoz has broken the record held by Liam Payas, of Lincoln Red Imps, who played at 14 in 2024.

Muñoz has already played for Arsenal U16 this season and was part of the team that won the U16 Premier League against Aston Villa in early November.
Liverpool suffered a crushing 1-4 defeat against PSV on Wednesday in the fifth round of the Champions League, continuing their poor run of results after losing eight of their last 11 games.

Ivan Perišić from the PSV opened the scoring in minute six, followed by Liverpool player Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal at minute 16.
In the second half, Liverpool took the lead when Guus Til scored in the 56th minute. As the match was coming to a close, Couhaib Driouech scored in the 73rd and 90th minutes, after an additional two minutes.
