Federico Valverde’s Hat Trick in the first leg of Champions League!

Federico Valverde’s hat trick on Wednesday propelled Real Madrid to a 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 match.

Valverde was the star of the first half, completing a quick counterattack to score the opening goal after rounding goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Just seven minutes later, he doubled the lead to 2-0 with a low shot from a pass by Vinícius Júnior.

Valverde completed his hat trick three minutes before halftime by knocking the ball over Marc Guéhi and volleying it past Donnarumma to make the score 3-0.

Paris Saint-Germain overpowered Chelsea 5-2 on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, scoring three goals in the final 20 minutes.

PSG took an early lead when Bradley Barcola scored with a half-volley off the crossbar.

However, Liam Rosenior’s team quickly equalized when Enzo Fernández found Gusto, who kept his shot low to beat Matvey Safonov.

Dembélé put the home team back in the lead near the end of the first half. Chelsea played well and leveled the score with a goal by Fernández.

Vitinha scored the third goal for the French team in the 74th minute. Then, Kvaratskhelia curled in an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box in the 86th and added another goal in stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Bodo/Glimt took another step forward in their remarkable Champions League journey after a 3-0 win over Sporting Lisbon.

Sondre Brunstad Fet scored shortly after the half-hour mark, and Ole Didrik Blomberg doubled the hosts’ lead just before halftime.

Kasper Høgh scored from close range off a cross from the left with 20 minutes left.

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen, with goals by Robert Andrich and Kai Havertz. EFE
