Cristiano will play his last World Cup in 2026!
Cairo, Nov 11 (EFE).-
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr team, said Tuesday that the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States will be his last appearance in the competition, in which he has participated since Germany hosted it in 2006.

When asked if the next World Cup would be his last, Ronaldo said that he would be 41 by that time and that would be the right moment.
“Yes, for sure. I’ll be 41, and I think that will be the time,” he said during a video conference at the TOURISE forum in Riyadh.
When asked about his recent comments suggesting he would retire soon, Ronaldo joked that it would happen in ten years.

According to the striker, ten years means “soon” to him.
“People think that when I talk about retiring soon, it means in six months or a year. I’m joking!,” said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner with a laugh.
However, he acknowledged that, as one gets older, the months start to fly by.
Still, he insisted that he is in good shape, continues to score goals, and is enjoying playing for Al Nassr and the Portuguese national team. EFE
