2025-26 UEFA Women’s Champions League season!

Barcelona’s 7-1 victory over Bayern Munich marked the beginning of the 2025-26 UEFA Women’s Champions League season.

The winning team scored two goals in the first 12 minutes at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium on Tuesday.

Alexia Putellas opened the scoring in the fourth minute, followed by Ewa Pajor in the 12th. Salma Paralluelo closed out the first half with a goal in the 45th minute (+1), followed by Pajor’s second goal in the 56th minute.

Claudia Pina concluded the match with two stopwatch goals, one in the 88th and the other two minutes into extra time.

Meanwhile, Arsenal started strong with Alessia Russo’s opening score in the seventh minute. However, Melchie Dumornay then went on to secure OL Lyon’s victory with two goals, the first in the 18th minute and the second right after in the 23rd.

Barcelona and OL Lyon are now in first and second place on the table, respectively, with three points each.EFE
