Sports Desk, Jul 6 (EFE).-
A goal from Geraldine Reuteler gave the Swiss team a 2-0 victory over Iceland, qualifying Norway, which had previously beaten Finland 2-1, for the quarterfinals. Switzerland scored 30 minutes into the game when Glodis Viggosdottir redirected Svenja Foelmli’s header into her own goal.

However, the goal was disallowed by VAR due to a foul committed by Föller.
In the second half, Reuteler capitalized on an Icelandic midfield error and received a pass from Sydney Schertenlieb to score the decisive goal.

Pilgrim secured a watchstop win when her deflected shot found the net, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Earlier on Sunday, Norway beat Finland despite the latter having the upper hand for most of the game.
Just over two minutes into the game, Finland conceded an own goal when Eva Nyström deflected a Graham Hansen cross into her own net.

Norway could not maintain its lead as Finland quickly pushed to tie the score.

The Finns capitalized on a miscue when Oona Sevenius scored with a precise side-footed shot after gaining possession deep in Norway’s territory.

Eveliina Summanen almost scored a second goal for Finland with a curling shot from the edge of the box, but it hit the far post.
Finland kept pushing for a winning goal, but Barcelona’s Graham Hansen scored with six minutes left when a cross deflected in off the far post, securing the victory for Norway. EFE
