“Trump wants Generals like Hitler’s”
Washington, Oct 23 (EFE).-
United States Vice President Kamala Harris slammed former President Donald Trump on Wednesday for saying he wanted generals like Adolf Hitler’s.
Harris’s remarks came a day after John Kelly, Trump’s former chief of staff, revealed details of his conversations with the ex-president in interviews with The New York Times and The Atlantic, even stating that Trump meets the definition of “fascist.”

“Donald Trump is increasingly unhinged and unstable and in a second term people like John Kelly would not be there to be the guard rail against his propensities and his actions,” the Democratic candidate warned in statements to the press from her official residence.
Harris referred to Kelly’s claims, who claimed that Trump suggested Nazi leader Adolf Hitler “did some good things” and that he wanted “German generals (…) Hitler’s generals.”
“It is deeply troubling and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who is responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and hundreds of thousands of Americans,” Harris stated.

The vice-president also referred to Trump’s own words on Oct. 14, when he suggested he would use the armed forces to confront what he called the “enemy within” on election day, noting that he was not worried about the chaos his supporters might cause, but rather the “lunatics that we have inside.”
Harris claimed that for her rival, an “enemy from within” is anyone who “refuses to bend the knee or dares to criticize him,” including judges, journalists, or officials overseeing the elections on Nov. 5.
“He does not want a military that is loyal to him. He wants a military who will be loyal to him personally, one that will obey his orders, even when he tells them to break the law or abandon their oath to the Constitution of the US,” she warned.

Kelly, who served as Trump’s chief of staff from 2017 to 2019 and was a former secretary of homeland security, has long been critical of Trump, previously accusing him of calling deceased veterans “losers” and “suckers.”
His new warnings come as Trump (2017-2021) seeks a second term, promising to dramatically expand the use of the Armed Forces within the US to confront what he calls the “enemy from within” and to enforce immigration policy.
In statements to US media, Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, said that Kelly “has totally beclowned himself with these debunked stories he has fabricated.” EFE
