Robert F. Kennedy Jr., “a good man”
Washington, Oct 30 (EFE).-
Former United States President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump promised former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom he called “a good man” with good knowledge of pesticides and the environment on Wednesday, a position in public health agencies if elected to a second term.
“The key, which President Trump has promised me, is control of the public health agencies, which is HHS and its sub-agencies, CDC, FDA, NIH and a few others. And also the USDA, which is, you know, key to making America healthy, because we’ve got to get off of seed oils and we’ve got to get off of pesticides … and we need to make that transition to regenerative agriculture,” Kennedy said.
According to Trump, Kennedy Jr. guaranteed him that they would make the United States “a healthy country.”
“And I tell him: Okay, Bobby (Kennedy’s nickname), but do me a favor, don’t touch oil and gas. Let me handle that. I will take care of oil and gas. We’re not going to let him get involved (in that) or allow him to get involved in the military,” Trump said.
Kennedy initially ran for president as a Democrat, then continued as an independent, and in August withdrew his candidacy and endorsed Trump, although his name will still appear on ballots in some states.
On Sunday, at a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York, Trump suggested he would allow Kennedy to “go crazy” with healthcare if he beats Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris on Nov. 5.
According to CNN, Kennedy Jr. claimed he would have “control” of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other health agencies if victorious.
The son of former US Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, both assassinated in the 1960s, began spreading conspiracy theories during the pandemic, and much of his family has publicly rejected both his ideas and his former candidacy. EFE
