Carlos Alcaraz wins Italian Open!
Sports Desk, May 18 (EFE).-
Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, who regained the No. 2 ranking this week, beat Italy’s Jannik Sinner (1) on Sunday to win the Italian Open for the first time with a monumental performance in the second set of a match he closed 7-6 (5), 6-1.

“I hope it’s not the last time I win here. I’m very happy to have Jannik back and to see him at this level. I have to congratulate him on the week he had. I’m very happy he’s back,” were his first words after the win.

With another Grand Slam on the horizon, “all eyes are on Roland Garros. I always say that finals are not played, but won. I’m very happy, I’m going to enjoy the moment with my family and friends. I will take a few days off to realize what I have achieved, and now I will focus on Roland Garros,” Alcaraz added. EFE dgp
