Naked at the Movie theater!
Barcelona, Spain (EFE).-
A Barcelona theater hosted the first film screening for naked audiences in Spain, an event simultaneously replicated in cinemas in Madrid and Valencia to challenge the taboos around nudity.
The debut film “You Are Not Me” by Spanish screenwriters and directors Marisa Crespo and MoisĂ©s Romera took center stage in this groundbreaking project, organized in collaboration with the naturist community.
“It is another way of promoting nudity in a natural way, in different aspects and situations, without forcing it,” said Segimon Rovira, president of the Naturist-Nudist Federation of Catalonia.
Rovira regretted that “nudity still generates many taboos and misunderstandings,” emphasizing the association’s goal of raising awareness about “natural nudity not related to sex.”
The initiative aimed to give visibility to naturism and attracted dozens of nudist attendees.
Participants followed specific rules, including entering the venue fully clothed, undressing only inside the auditorium, and using towels to cover the seats and backrests throughout the film.
One of them, Pep, lauded the initiative and welcomed the fact that it was taking place in winter when the low temperatures mean there are fewer opportunities for naked activities.
“It’s a way of breaking the taboos that make us think we always have to be dressed,” he said, hoping that the event would be repeated and serve to “make people aware that it’s OK to go naked.”
“Those who try it usually continue because it is very pleasant,” he said. EFE
