British singer Robbie Williams has surprised fans with the release of Britpop, his 13th studio album.
According to Billboard magazine, the road to the release of the former Take That member’s new record has been marked by several delays but came earlier than the latest scheduled date.

Initially announced in May last year, the album was originally scheduled for release on Oct. 10, but was later postponed to Feb. 6 this year due to scheduling issues.
The 11-track album, conceived as a tribute to British music, is now available on all streaming platforms.
“I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music,” Williams said in a message posted on his Instagram account in May last year, when he first announced the project.
“I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album. it’s raw, there are more guitars, and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual.”
Britpop marks Williams’ first collection of original material since The Heavy Entertainment Show in 2016.
Its release will be supported by a series of concerts in the United Kingdom scheduled for February. EFE
