New Brunswick, New Jersey.- By Oscar Alberto Quintana
The Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández show was a total success on Tuesday, March 2, 2025. It was almost sold out according to Kelly Blithe, the lady in charge of marketing for the State theater of New Jersey.

There was a preliminary introduction of the show by Mariana Díaz Nagore, the Mexican General Consul in New Brunswick. The consul thanked the State Theater for bringing the Mexican ballet show to this artistic venue, followed by a big applause by the mixed public. There were Anglos and Hispanic and a lot of Mexicans in the audience.

The moment we were wainting for started with a parade of some 40 or so dancers with Adelita song playing in the background. That song refers to a love escapade. “If Adelita were to escape with another one” “I would follow her by land and sea” “By sea on a war ship” “By land on a military train” The show was an extraordinary one with beautiful dancers, rural mexican customes, mixed with choreographic and acrobatic moves. The audience had a good time, myself included.
