The RWJ Barnabas Rutgers Jack & Sheryl Cancer center!
It was a light rainy day in New Brunswick, the Hub City, the hospital capital of New Jersey. Finally a much awaited grand opening took place.

Posing for the guided media and hired photographers along with his family was philanthropist Jack Morris and his lovely wife Sheryl. They are the ones who bankrolled the construction from the ground up of this ten story magnificent state of the art building and its technological advanced equipment.

The new RWJ Barnabas Health Jack & Sheryl Cancer center was introduced to the general media and a handful of hospital and community big wigs, including the Governor of the State of New Jersey, Phil D. Murphy.

The new RWJ Barnabas Health Rutgers cancer center is loaded with advanced technological equipment to treat cancer patients.

It is located across from the main hospital where there was a New Brunswick middle school. That school has been relocated at a new faciltiy on Jersey Avenue, and named Blanquita Valenti Middle School. Mrs. Valenti was an influential politician, with Puerto Rican roots, in the Hub City.

This is what RWJ Barnabas Health says about its new facility.
“Oncology services will be transformed with the opening of the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center in 2025. The Morris Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, freestanding cancer hospital featuring outpatient and inpatient capacity coupled with research laboratories, retail space and ancillary services devoted to patient wellness and is a first of its kind in New Jersey. It will include the wide-ranging advanced oncology care services offered by Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health, all under one roof — greatly enhancing the patient experience and providing further ease of access.”
