HISPA’s Three Kings Banquet Honors Leaders Supporting Latino Youth Education!
Non-profit organization HISPA (Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement) will host its Three Kings Banquet, an annual celebration recognizing those who have gone above and beyond to inspire and support Latino youth to realize their potential and ability to
succeed in education, on January 16, 2025, at Pines Manor in Edison, NJ, and January 23, 2025, at InterContinental at Doral Miami in Doral, FL.

ceremony beginning at 7:30 p.m. HISPA is thrilled to announce the banquet’s distinguished award winners.
Share Award – Role Model of the Year: Amaury Genao, Turner Construction Company Amaury Genao has made an extraordinary impact with HISPA as a Role Model. Visiting schools across three states, he reached over 500 students, delivering inspiration and encouraging them
to envision successful futures. His commitment goes further, securing critical financial support for HISPA’s programs in South Florida, ensuring that more students in the region can benefit from HISPA’s transformative programs.
Inspire Award – Champion of the Year: AT&T HACEMOS
AT&T HACEMOS stands out as an invaluable supporter of HISPA’s mission, hosting multiple events, including High Technology – Imagine Days and leadership workshops for Latino college students. When an unexpected rescheduling of a Youth Conference left one school unable to attend, AT&T stepped in, hosting a conference on-site to ensure these students received the STEM exposure they deserved. AT&T’s unwavering commitment has set a high bar for corporate responsibility and community partnership.
Transform Award – Sponsor of the Year: Verizon
For the fourth time, Verizon receives HISPA’s Transform Award, a testament to their longstanding dedication. Verizon has set records with 74 Role Model Program sessions and numerous STEM-focused events. Their significant funding and active participation in HISPA’s 3Kings Banquet, Youth Conferences, and Imagine Days underscore Verizon’s steadfast commitment to uplifting Hispanic and Latino students in STEM fields and beyond.
Leadership in Mentoring Award: Dorca Gilbertson, Bank of America
Dorca Gilbertson has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, greatly expanding Bank of America’s support for HISPA. Through her efforts, Bank of America has become a HISPA Annual Partner, hosting programs and contributing resources in New Jersey and South Florida.
Her work has been instrumental in connecting Latino students with mentors and opportunities, exemplifying a true commitment to community impact.
Corazón Award – In-Kind Support of the Year: Montclair State University Montclair State University has become a vital partner for HISPA, hosting multiple events that support Latino youth in their educational journeys. The university has hosted its first Youth Conference and has been instrumental in furthering leadership opportunities through its support of HISPA’s Leadership Workshops and graduation ceremonies. Montclair’s ongoing partnership amplifies HISPA’s reach and impact in the community.
Special Recognitions
In Florida, HISPA will award special recognitions to honor select individuals and organizations who have demonstrated an incredible commitment to HISPA’s mission in Florida: Amazon, Visa, and Microsoft will be recognized for their continued dedicated support of HISPA’s educational programming; the Miami Herbert Business School at the University of Miami for their ongoing inkind support; and Dr. Georgette Perez, Miami Dade College – Hialeah Campus President, for her championship supporting HISPA’s mission.
