
Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Miss Universe 2024

Victoria Kjaer of Denmark won the Miss Universe 2024 title on Saturday at a dazzling ceremony in the Arena Ciudad de México, besting nearly 130 contestants from around the globe.
Kjaer impressed the judges with her charisma, intelligence, and outstanding communication skills, earning her the coveted “Light of Infinity” crown at the 73rd edition of the world’s premier beauty pageant.

The 18-carat gold crown, encrusted with diamonds and 23 golden pearls, was ceremonially placed on Kjaer’s head by outgoing titleholder, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
The competition featured nearly 130 participants, gradually narrowed down through elimination rounds to a final five: María Fernanda Beltrán of host country Mexico, Ileana Márquez of Venezuela, Opal Suchata of Thailand, and Adetshina Chidimma of Nigeria.
The star-studded event included performances by Robin Thicke, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, and Chilean artist Nico Ruiz, among others.

A panel of judges, including Lele Pons, Margaret Gardiner, Michael Cinco, Camila Guribitey, and Gary Nader, assessed finalists on communication skills, stage presence, and charisma.
In addition to the $5.3 million crown, Kjaer receives a $250,000 cash prize and a $50,000 monthly salary during her reign.
As Miss Universe, she will represent the organization globally, championing charitable causes and promoting international projects, while symbolizing the beauty, intelligence, and talent of women worldwide.
