Real Madrid beats Villareal!

Uruguayan striker Federico Valverde’s goal helped Real Madrid beat Villarreal 2-0 in La Liga on Saturday.
The game started with the Merengues looking to dominate from the beginning. During a corner taken by Luka Modrić, Jude Bellingham let the ball pass so that Federico Valverde could control it and then unleash a powerful long-range shot.
The Uruguayan made a great decision in the 14th minute, beating the goal defended by Diego Conde, who had little chance against the firm strike.
When it seemed the match would end with a narrow scoreline, Vinícius Júnior scored a stunning goal in the 73rd minute, shooting from a long distance and placing the ball in the top right corner, leaving the visiting goalkeeper with no chance.
Real Madrid’s 2-0 win leaves them level on 21 points with leaders Barcelona, who host Alavés on Sunday. EFE
