Real Madrid a 2-1 against Villareal!
Villareal (Castellón), Mar. 15 (EFE).-
Kylian Mbappé’s brace and Thibaut Courtois’ crucial saves secured Real Madrid a 2-1, comeback victory against Villareal, allowing them to reclaim the provisional lead in LaLiga.

Despite Villareal taking an early lead, Juan Foyth scored. Mbappé responded with two quick goals before the 30-minute mark, turning the match in Madrid’s favor. The home side pushed for an equalizer throughout the game, but Courtois delivered an outstanding performance to deny them, while Madrid held firm in defense to protect their advantage.

Ancelotti criticizes LaLiga over scheduling
Following the victory, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, expressed frustration over the team’s tight schedule, stating that they would refuse to play under similar conditions in the future.
“This is the last time,” Ancelotti warned. “If LaLiga schedules a match for us without 72 hours of rest again, we will not show up.”
Madrid had twice requested a date change for the fixture after learning they would face Atlético de Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16, but LaLiga denied their appeal.
Ancelotti praised his squad’s resilience, emphasizing the “immense effort” they have made since January. EFE
